I tried to love it, I installed lots of software and spent hours customising it in an attempt to make it usable and enjoyable. Secondly no Linux programs are written to support a touch bar, as other systems do not have those. First off theres probably a quite involved and encrypted protocol between the Mac and the touch bar to account for the fingerprint sensor, etc. I use the audio controls and brightness controls many times every day and the Touch Bar frankly got in the way. However, in my opinion the likelihood of this is quite slim. In closing, I really really want actual physical tactile buttons. When you use blackhole, AVTouchBar creates an aggregate audio device so that the audio data gets sent to your speakers as well as AVtouchBar to create the visuals. You can enable this using BetterTouchTool (it enacts the Trackpad's actuator to accomplish this) but it's not very prominent like it would be if the vibrator was directly under the touch bar. I also found myself just wanting basic media controls and brightness controls very often. Sometimes touches wouldn't happen immediately making me touch again thinking it didn't detect my touch only for it to react to both touches in quick succession after an initial delay. Then boot to this Beta volume and install Catalina. First add a volume let say Beta, download Mojave from App Store, run installer to install Mojave to Beta volume. They're not doing this the entire time right? If your Macintosh HD is using APFS and has more than 50G left, than its better to install beta OS on separate volume.
